Job Description

Position Overview:

Located at our Corporate Office in Brockton, MA the human resources specialist is an individual contributor role responsible for coordinating aspects of the human resources function including but not limited to; recruitment coordination, mandated background checks, new hire administration utilizing ADP, vendor management, training coordination and EEO1 Reporting. Works with the Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Senior Director of HR Administration to coordinate the range of employee services to ensure that offerings are competitive and are appropriate for the organization to attract, retain and develop staff members.


Education and Experience:

¨ Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business or related field required.

¨ 4 to 6 years of experience in managing employment programs in a multi-location organization with a diverse work force of employee classifications.

¨ PHR Certification Preferred

Essential Functions

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Support training on efficient use of HRIS Workforce Management System.

2. Manage onboarding, communications and vendor invoicing.

3. Facilitate automated data collection, employment tracking and reporting.

4. Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on industry standards, and the needs of the organization.

5. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all aspects of employment lifecycle administration including job posting and employment advertising.

6. Assist with staff engagement programing, HR communications. Coordinate and participate in new hire orientation.

7. Manage unemployment claims via third party.

8. Ensure all policies comply with all federal, state and local laws and reflect the values and philosophy of the YMCA.

9. Support Senior Leadership in implementing automated online recruitment systems to streamline administrative practices and policies associated with employment to maximize service delivery coordination with Finance, Operations and Social Services.

10.Assume additional HR responsibilities as determined by the SVP of Human Resources and Sr. Director of HR Administration.
