Job Description

Position Summary

The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for owning the full-stack marketing for dedicated portfolios and departments at the YMCA of Central Florida. The incumbent will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to create seamless, integrated journeys across audience and channels that drive meaningful engagements and accelerate membership growth opportunities. The Marketing Specialist will leverage research and trends, along with technical expertise and understanding of the customer journey to raise awareness, drive demand, and take the YMCA of Central Florida’s marketing strategy to the next level. 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience in Marketing, Communications required. 
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a related digital marketing role.
  • Ability to develop campaign strategies, segment, and target audiences for engagement and conversion.
  • Hands-on experience with campaign execution and an expert grasp of audience segmentation, as well as integrated nurture and outbound campaigns.
  • Demonstrable ability to work on multiple projects at once and adhere to deadlines.
  • Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach.
  • Good knowledge of market research techniques and digital trends required.
  • Nice to Have: Experience marketing subscription based products and services. 
  • Nice to Have: Experience in the Health & Wellness Industry.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, which may include weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Must be willing to work an on-call schedule rotation as required.
  • Must be willing to travel within Central Florida. Must have a valid Driver license. The employee is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. 
  • The physical activities of this position include: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions. Talking is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels, with or without correction.
  • Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time while demonstrating manual dexterity in order to accurately work on the phone, computer keyboard, and other equipment. 
  • The employee must be able to perform light work: exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • The employee is required to have close visual acuity, along with the visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned, preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer screen, extensive reading, or to make general observations of facilities or structures. 
  • Must possess auditory and verbal capabilities in order to adequately communicate via phone and in person.

Essential Functions
  • Develop and Execute Marketing Strategies: Take ownership of developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies to meet and exceed portfolio sales targets and increase brand visibility. This includes organizing campaigns into a cohesive calendar format for easy tracking and execution.
  • Content Creation and Management: Create engaging and visually appealing content across multiple channels, including various platforms, email newsletters, and website updates. Utilize tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite to design graphics and multimedia content that resonate with our target audience.
  • Email Marketing Campaigns: Assist in the execution of email marketing campaigns, from content creation to list segmentation. Monitor campaign performance and provide insights for optimization to improve engagement and conversion rates.
  • Website Management: Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing and user-friendly web content. Ensure that all content aligns with brand guidelines and contributes to a seamless user experience.
  • SEO Strategies: Implement SEO strategies to enhance website visibility and ensure that content is optimized for search engines.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Utilize tools to monitor and analyze website traffic, campaign performance, and email campaign metrics. Generate regular reports and debriefs to demonstrate effectiveness through key metrics and provide actionable insights for future campaigns.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in the organization and planning of events to promote brand awareness and drive foot traffic. Attend events to facilitate their success, capture photos/videos for digital marketing purposes.
  • Regularly generate reports & debriefs to demonstrate effectiveness through Key Metrics.
  • Serve as the primary marketing point of contact for line(s) of business you own and build strong relationships ensuring business line success and collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Occasionally compose print marketing literature (event flyers, press releases, etc.)
  • Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor and follow the Association’s current employee and member injury reporting procedures.
