Job Description

Under the direction of the Controller, the Accounting Specialist will take responsibility for a variety of accounting functions, including but not limited to, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger postings, payroll support, customer service, membership accounting, problem solving accounts, data entry, assisting our branches with their accounting transactions and analysis and participating in cross-training all accounting positions.


· Minimum 2-year Associates degree in Accounting/related field or 5 years’ experience in Accounting, or equivalent

· Effective verbal and written communication skills within a diverse population

· Customer service background with significant experience, comfortable and able to conduct themselves well with donors, sponsors, etc.

· Able to effectively and respectfully work with staff, members and participants

· Positive attitude initiative, flexibility, dependability and ability to work and problem solve as a team player

· Detail-oriented, self-starter, strength in planning, organization, prioritizing and follow-through

· Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and enterprise software systems.
