Job Description

The YMCA of Greater Williamson County is a $27 million Association focusing on mission-driven, not-for-profit services with a vision of Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility throughout Williamson & Burnet Counties. Our organization is home to the largest school-age childcare provider in Williamson County as well as health and fitness programs that improve the quality of life in over 45,000 members ranging from preschool through senior citizens. The Association currently encompasses 4 facility branches, a centralized Child Care Department, Full Facility (65 acre) Day and Resident Camp, a Metropolitan Services office, and over 125 program sites committed to meeting the needs of our diverse population. The YMCA of Greater Williamson County responds to community needs with effective community-based programs that enrich the quality of spirit, mind and body for all people throughout Williamson County.

Position Summary:

Oversee operation of YMCA Camp Twin Lakes, a 65-acre multi-use youth residence and day camp facility with an annual budget over $1.7 million. Our day camp serves an average of 600 children per day, Residence Camp over 100 campers and approximately a half million in offseason and group rentals. Duties include, but not limited to: Staff Supervision, budgeting, facilities development, volunteer management and fundraising.

The successful candidate will fulfill this role under the capable leadership of the VP of Operations (West) with the goal of transitioning to a new facility membership branch in our Association.

The Camp Executive Director will represent and promote the YMCA as a leader in our community and must be able to maintain positive, collaborative relationships with local organizations, businesses and government entities.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, or business or equivalent education and experience. Additional years of related experience may replace the college degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

· Five or more years of management and operations experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency

Essential Functions

· Proven ability to direct total operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of branch budget, marketing and public relations, and program development.

· Experience in fund-raising, including annual and capital campaigns, grant writing, planned giving, and the development of other creative revenue streams.

· Hands-on experience and willingness to work hands-on when and where needed.

· Experience in developing new programs and in reviewing and enhancing existing programs.

· Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; proven ability to recruit top community leaders.

· Proven ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

· Proven track record of developing authentic relationships with others.

· Proven ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.

· YMCA Multi-Team or Branch Leader certification preferred.

· CPR and first aid certifications may be required.

Salary

$67,000.00 - $80,000.00
