Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the new Walton County YMCA in Monroe Georgia (expected to open in early 2025). The Walton YMCA will consist of an eight-lane competition pool, a warm water therapy pool, a state-of-the-art wellness center, a group fitness studio, and child care rooms. A successful applicant should be a visionary leader who can develop and enhance the YMCA within the community. The Branch Director is responsible for managing membership development, programs, facilities, budget, volunteer/staff development, and local Annual Campaign. The Branch Director is primarily responsible for assuring conformity with policies and procedures as adopted by the Association.

Qualifications

·  Education: Bachelors degree (BA) from a four year college or university preferred.

·  Certifications/Experience: 5-7 years successful YMCA management and supervisory experience preferred. Branch Leader certified or has begun Y USA Leadership certifications.

·  Must be self-motivated, energetic, personable, dedicated, and well-organized.

·  Ability to communicate and motivate others about the YMCA, its mission, and programs.

Essential Functions

·  Responsible for all branch operations related to programs, membership, facilities as well as community relations. Ensure a growth-based performance.

·  Responsible for staff recruitment, development, training, supervision, and evaluation. 

·  Responsible for achieving branch operating budget projections. 

·  Responsible for developing and instituting the branch annual sustaining campaign. 

·  Responsible for management of the facility, cleanliness, and safety. 

·  Will be required to have a demonstrated background in fiscal management, financial development, recruitment and development of volunteer leadership, community involvement, and strategic planning. 

·  Responsible for successful management of day-to-day facilities of branch integrating all Association policies and procedures. 

·  Should possess skills in managing multiple priorities, communications, and motivation of staff and volunteers.
