Job Description

We’re looking for a confident individual to specialize in aquatics programming and oversight. You will be a part of Leadership Team and lead other lifeguards in providing fun and safe aquatics activities on our lake and in the pool, while also implementing skill-based progression into activities to help further growth and development among campers. Provide upkeep to pool in areas of health, safety, chemicals, and maintenance.

Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older and have at least 2 years aquatics experience
  • Passion, enthusiasm, and commitment to the mission and cause of theYMCA.
  • This position requires experience working with youth
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Have or willing to obtain First Aid, CPR, Lifeguard or ropes
  • Willingness to have fun, laugh, and be silly with a love of the outdoors
Essential Functions
  • Lead lifeguards / staff at aquatics areas
  • Required to follow all county and accredited safety guidelines
  • Supervise and lead campers at aquatics
  • Ability to plan and execute an E.A.P
  • Coordinate with activity specialist and directors on programing
  • Provide direct supervision to youth while teaching and leading activities
  • Facilitate ropes, target sports, aquatics, and many more camp activities
  • All other duties as assigned by the director
