Located on Blackman Lake near Wolcottville, Indiana; YMCA Camp Potawotami has 200 beds and is a branch of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne.

Job Description and Required Certifications: Job Description: The Maintenance Director will work closely with our Executive Director to ensure that YMCA Camp Potawotami facilities are clean, safe, and friendly. Prior experience in maintenance and camping is preferred. The Maintenance Director oversees the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our 25 building facility, equipment, and 210-acre grounds of YMCA Camp Potawotami. The position supervises seasonal housekeeping staff, grounds keeping staff, and occasional volunteers. Perform routine maintenance of all facility equipment including alarms, lighting, filters, boilers, HVAC, and plumbing. Ensure camp is kept clean on a daily basis; purchasing supplies; securing bids; and developing and implementing a preventative maintenance plan. Perform daily repairs and help oversee the safety and security of camp. The Maintenance Director advises the Executive Director of maintenance issues, helps plan for improvements, and be able to respond quickly to facility emergencies affecting plumbing, fire alarms, and HVAC failures to limit interruption of programs. The Maintenance Director manages building and site projects including contractor relations, schedules and budgets. Qualifications: Successful candidates would be required to relocate near the camp for on call emergencies and be willing to work flexible hours. Must have leadership experience and education and experience in building maintenance and repair practices. Proficiencies include: experience with building codes, construction, safety practices, and standards. General knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical, mechanical, plumbing systems as well as landscape, grounds and timber maintenance. Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate and supervise housekeeping and grounds keeping staff. Manage multiple projects at once. Computer skills including: email, placing orders, using Excel spreadsheets and Word documents. Possess a valid drivers license.
Salary Information: Benefits package includes: health and dental insurance, 12% employer funded retirement plan upon eligibility, life insurance, long term disability and paid time off. Applications accepted through August 8, 2014. Salary $35,000-$40,000 with negotiable living arrangements.
