Camp Description: YMCA Camp Carter is located on over 350 acres along the banks of the Trinity River just seven miles from downtown Fort Worth. The Director of Operations at YMCA Camp Carter will help guide the facility and food service departments as they serve over 14,000 visitors per year. Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Director of Operations will manage the budgets, staffing and day-to-day operations of YMCA Camp Carters operations in support of the Camp and Retreat Programs.

Job Description and Required Certifications: The Wrangler will be an organized, dependable and responsible person with and emphasis on safety and herd management. Responsibilities will include feeding, grooming and tacking horses, mucking stalls and general barn chores. The Wrangler will also assist/lead group horse activities as well as other activities as assigned by the Equestrian Director. Applicants MUST: Be at least 18 years old, be able to lift 50 lbs., be able to work in extreme heat, be able to walk up to 2 miles without assistance, exhibit the YMCA core values of respect, honesty, caring and responsibility, have strong leadership skills, enjoy working with children and horses, have at least 1 year of horse experience, be able to ride well at a walk and trot and be able to pass a criminal background check. This is a part time position and hours will vary...including morning, afternoon, evening and weekends.
Salary Information: $8.00 per hour
