Job Description and Required Certifications: Since 1948, Triangle Y Ranch Camp has been the home to thousands of campers who have experienced the outdoors, made lifelong friends and enjoyed new adventures. Tri-Y has a variety of programs including summer resident camp, Conference/ retreats, Outdoor Education, Leadership training, Team building and Family camp. The 400 acre camp is located 30 miles northeast of Tucson Arizona in the Catalina Mountain Range. Tri-Y Ranch Camp offers cabins with shower houses close by as well as two lodges with air conditioning and restrooms. Facilities also include the Green Retreat/ conference center which contains modern meeting rooms and a large state of the art dinning hall. To add adventure and excitement, the camp offers a 100 ft. zip-line, high and low ropes course, rock climbing, swimming, caving, horse back riding, rifles and archery. The summer camp coordinator will be supervised by the Senior Program Director and will be responsible for the administration and coordination of the overall summer camp program. The position requires living on-site and overseeing the daily management and leadership of all Resident Camp programs, participants and staff. In addition, the Summer Program Coordinator is accountable for budgeting, marketing, program development/innovation and assisting with the annual fundraising campaign. Applicant must have programming and budgetary experience with special emphasis on youth and family activities, as well as, experience in a residential camp setting. Prior experience in the supervision, training and scheduling of volunteer and paid staff, fiscal management and program development with the ability to relate to all age groups is essential. Qualifications include: supervisory and programming experience, current CPR/AED and First Aid and applicants must be at least 21 years old. As this is an outdoor, desert camp, applicants must be able to work outside for extended periods of time in varying temperatures and able to lift 50 lbs. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of the American Camping Association (ACA) guidelines and experience with high ropes course and zip line (including inspection and maintenance of equipment). The preferred candidate will have completed a bachelor's degree in Recreation, Elementary Education, Environmental Studies or a related field with 2-5 year’s prior experience in a camp setting; however 2-4 years previous experience with the YMCA or a similar agency can be substituted for the degree requirement. This position requires broad knowledge and experience in the field of camping and prior experience in the development and administration of camp programs. Please note this is a summer position and the individual is not benefit eligible as it is temporary.

Salary Information: $500/week
