Camp Name: Camp MacLean
Camp Location: Burlington, WI
Camp Description: Camp MacLean is located just two miles east of Burlington, Wisconsin on 247 acres of woods and grassland property. The camp offers fun and challenging activities such as swimming, climbing, boating, kayaking, archery, hiking, and much more. We also leave room for plenty of traditional programs, including sing-alongs, campfires and campouts.

Job Description and Required Certifications: Job Summary: The coordinator will plan, implement, oversee and manage group participants, group leaders, and staff for the following programs: conferencing and group services, outdoor education, family camps, specialty weekends, teen adventure trips and service, relationship building & development of current and new groups & group leaders, marketing and recruitment of groups and participants for these programs. Scope of Responsibilities: Coordinate, prepare and implement marketing plan for camp programs. Develop camp brochures, fliers, camp postcards and camp mass mailings. Train, supervise and evaluate camp staff: while adhering to state, YMCA, ACA, County and Town standards. Develop and implement training and work schedules for camp staff. Implement staff evaluations in spring, summer, and fall. Develop and implement new initiative programming and direct the day-to-day structure and operation of the group services programs. Develop new program ideas to ensure camper and group retention. Customer Service: maintain positive relationships with all customer bases from the point of contact including promoting camp, conducting tours, closing all sales, organization & scheduling, and program delivery. Return all customer emails and phone calls within 24 hours. Maintain open communication with all customers to provide proactive quality customer service. Positive team player: Assist with care of camp facilities including, picking up litter, care of camp equipment, opening/closing program areas each season, helping in the kitchen or maintenance areas when needed. Serve as a weekday or weekend host based on group services schedule and the group services season. Articulate safety concerns, emergency procedures, risk management issues and general camp policies to other professional staff, summer staff, group participants, and campers. Ensure the safety of staff and campers and enforce on-site policies. Assist with other duties as assigned by the Executive Director. Requirements: Must have at least two years of college completed or be at least 21 years of age. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in supervision, program development, marketing, social media, and computer skills. Must be able to clear a driving record check and have a current driver license.
