This state-of-the-art facility featuresa wellness center, gym, climbing wall, exercise studios, indoor and outdoor pools. The indoor pool includes lap lanes, water slide, spray features and a zero-depth entry. The outdoor pool features lap lanes, water slide, vortex pool, toddler zone, zero-depth entry and a snack bar. Job Summary

The YMCA is looking for an energetic, outgoing team player to fill an immediate opening as a Senior Program Director for the Jorgensen Family YMCA. This position will directly lead a specific program department and supervise two Program Directors depending on the skills and expertise of the incumbent. Reporting to the District Executive Director, the ideal candidate has a passion for impacting the lives of others through servant leadership. A successful director will be an organized, self-starter, effective listener, strong team builder and have a passion for serving others


Starting Salary Range: $45,000-$50,000

  1. Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
  2. 4-5years of related experience; preferably within the YMCA.
  3. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred.A combination of equivalent work experience, education and training may be considered.
  4. Previous experience building a team, running programs, and supervising others is preferred.
  5. Experience in, or ability to, expertly relate to diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.

Essential Functions

  1. Develop, implement, and promote dynamic new programs and expand existing programs to meet the needs of the community to fulfill YMCA objectives.
  2. Recruit, hire, train and develop all assigned staff and volunteers as needed.
  3. Foster meaningful connections for the members and guests to the YMCA and serve as a leader for the YMCA.
  4. Compile program statistics and participant feedback in order to evaluate the effectiveness of programs offered.
  5. Establish new activities and expand offerings to support membership growth and retention.
  6. Expand and strengthen collaborative relationships with community organizations.
  7. Develop and monitor program budgets to meet fiscal objectives.
  8. Assist in YMCA fundraising activities, special events, marketing and distribution of program information where applicable.
  9. Serve as a member of Y management and supports the overall objectives of the YMCA.
  10. Assist in YMCA fundraising activities and special events where applicable.
