Job Description

The Office Manager works with the camp leadership team to organize and implement a safe, comprehensive, and fun day camp program that equips campers with valuable skills to help them be successful and healthy kids and young adults. You will manage the office to ensure that the “behind the scenes” operations of camp are running smoothly on a daily basis. You will manage the camp phone, mail, camper registration, creating paper materials for programming, and provide support to the camp staff throughout the summer. This position will work with the Camp Director to oversee the daily administrative operations of the day camp program. You will primarily work in the indoor camp office environment.


  • You must be 21 years or older according to ACA requirements.
  • Competence using all Microsoft office programs

  • Critical thinking skills
  • High school diploma
  • 1 year of clerical experience
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds without assistance.
  • A valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record as defined by Greater Green Bay YMCA policy is required.

Essential Functions

  1. Plan and prep administrative materials
  2. Participate in staff training and teach staff about the Office Department of camp.
  3. Attend and contribute to all staff trainings, meetings, and events.
  4. Be dressed professionally and be prepared to make all parents, families, and campers feel comfortable with all questions answered on arrival and departure days.
  5. Assist in the continuous improvement of camp administrative operations
  6. Communicate effectively with parents, leadership team, staff, and campers
  7. Assist in registration process of campers.
  8. Create documents and reports as needed.
  9. Work with peers and leadership team to foster a positive and friendly camp culture for both campers and staff.
  10. Assist with camp clean-up and facility projects as needed.
  11. Assist with any/all other camp duties as assigned.
  12. Assume responsibility for the safety of all campers. In the event of an emergency you will serve as a first responder (responding, reporting, and preventing).

Other Compensation

$460 per week from June 14th - August 19th. Time may be longer depending on need.
