Job Description

Located outside of Cascade, Idaho, Y Camp at Horsetheif Reservoir has 410 acres of rugged wilderness at the south end of Horsethief Reservoir.Approximately four hundred yards of spectacular waterfront along the two mile long reservoir provide us with room for swimming, canoeing, paddle boarding, fishing and more.We operate a high ropes course and climbing tower as our high adventure activities on camp property. Our facilities can accommodate groups from 15-600 participants for retreats, conferences, weddings, and outdoor education during shoulder seasons.

TheAssociate Executive Directoris responsible for administering total operation of Summer Resident Camp, Outdoor Education, Retreats, and Conferences, including overseeing the management of safe programs and facilities, volunteer and staff development, and financial development within assigned areas.This position reports to the Senior Executive Director, Child and Youth Development.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 5 years’ experience working in related field; 3-5 years’ management experience; strong skills in human relations, budgeting and fiscal management, financial development, program management, volunteer and staff management, and committee relations;Multi-Team or Branch Leader certification preferred.

Essential Functions

1. Work closely with Department Directors/Coordinators to ensure department operations are consistent with approved Leading Practices.

2. Supervise assigned Leadership staff, including hiring, onboarding, role-modeling, coaching, scheduling, and on-going development Direct and oversee the Association’s Growth and Development efforts.

3. Direct the development and management of departments to achieve Branch operating objectives in the Strategic Plan.

4. Responsible in ensuring that Department budgets are developed and monitored to meet fiscal objectives.

5. Responsible in ensuring that all aspects of Department programming meet budget, quality, and safety expectations.

6. Operate in a synergistic manner with other YMCA branches and departments to increase participation through cross-promotion and education.

7. Lead assigned Association Program Strategy Team.

8. Meet position-specific requirements in the Annual Campaign plan and assist in other YMCA fund raising activities and special events.

9. Consciously seek to identify individuals who have passion and capacity, and match them with Y opportunities to volunteer and contribute.

10. Develop and maintains relationships with current and potential funding sources in coordination with Branch and Association staff.

11. Acts as the representative for the Senior Executive Director as assigned for both internal and external groups and meetings.

12. Meet position-specific requirements in the Annual Campaign plan.

Salary

$49,920.00 - $62,400.00
