Job Description

The Moultrie YMCA MG's Team has produced State, Regional, and National Events. We have won all around and/ or team championships at every level of USAG, YMCA, and Georgia High School Association Competition. Included is three YMCA National Team Champions (Level 6, Level 8, and Championship (Level 9-10) Division, and the first Georgia High School State Team Championship from outside Metro Atlanta.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in recreation education, communications or related field and/or 2 years experience operating or managing gymanstics or similar program

Experience with boys and girls gymnastics both operationally and coaching required.

Experience creating daily staff and gym rotation schedules

Ability to provide strong strong and effective leadership to large staff team as well as mentor to younger staff.

Must have experience with and knowledge of all gymnastics apparatus.

CPR and First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire

Experience directing gymnastics competitions

Must be available to work evenings, some weekends and to attend assigned competitions localy or ou of town

Abiltiy to diplomatically handle difficult situations and/or people

Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills while mainitaining professional, caring, honest, respectful, and responsible behavior.

Professional demeanor and the ability to work effectively with the public, staff and volunteers

Well developed understanding of the importance of a culturally diverse staff and membership

Ability to adequately observe participant activites, enforce safety regulations, and apply appropriate policies and procedures

Essential Functions

Development of all Gymnastics Programs and Levels

Responsible for:

communicating the YMCA mission and program opportunities

direct supervision of staff

processing payroll and department budget

scheduling program classes and activities

administrative work

fiscal managment

development of all gymnastics programs and promotional materials

Coaching and teaching when needed

instructing class programs

assisting with birthday parties

private lesson and camp scheduling

$30,000.00 - $35,000.00
