Job Summary

The Central Branch YMCA has an immediate opening for a Youth & Family Director. Reporting to the Executive Director, the ideal candidate has a passion for impacting the lives of local youth and teens. Asuccessful director will be a detail-oriented, effective listener, strong team builder and have a passion for serving others.

1.Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.

2.Two to threeyears of related experience; preferably within the YMCA.

3.Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred. A combination of equivalent work experience, education and training may be considered.

4.Previous experience building a team, running programs, and supervising others is preferred.

5.Experience in, or ability to, expertly relate to diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.

Essential Functions

1.Develop, implement, and promote dynamic quality new programs and expand current programs to supportyouth and family engagement. Continue program growth and retention in accordance with strategic and operating plans.

2.Oversee the hiring, training, and supervision of part-time Youth and Family,and Child Watch Staff.

3.Make connections with members and guests and assist with inquiries.

4.Develop and strengthen relationships with community organizations.

5.Develop and monitor department budget to meet fiscal objectives.

6.Participate as an active member of the branch management team.

7.Assist in YMCA fundraising activities and special events where applicable.
