Camp Description

YMCA of the Rockies operates two family resorts and conference centers located on either side of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, as well as a residential camp for kids. Each center offers a unique experience and a variety of employment opportunities throughout the year.

Job Description

YMCA of the Rockies provides a variety of gap program options for individuals looking to take time after high school before college, or looking for a break from college to gain work and life experience before jumping into academics or a career. Depending on the program, we aim to develop the person to grow individually, explore their faith and establish their own values and beliefs. Check out each of our gap programs to learn which is right for you.

Elevate -Our ELEVATE program will provide young people (ages 18-22) with a variety of experiences designed to build confidence and to provide life skills training. The two cornerstones are employment experiences in the hospitality industry (rotating through departments in our resort) and meaningful community service.

Discover -Our DISCOVER program will provide a variety of experiences designed to build your personal and professional skills through training sessions and outdoor adventures, while working in a genuine Rocky Mountain location. As a DISCOVER participant, you will have both structured and free-time opportunities to discover the Rocky Mountains and spark your enthusiasm for the outdoors.

Trek -TREK is a working Christian Formation gap year program designed for 18 to 24 year olds seeking personal and spiritual growth while working in a seasonal job at Snow Mountain Ranch.

Thrive -TheTHRIVEprogram will provide young women (ages 18-22) with a variety of experiences designed to develop and support a positive self-image, foster a space of community, support and encouragement, and increase confidence and strength found in a diverse group of women.
