Give Today For A Better Tomorrow
When you give to the World Service campaign, you are directly impacting people and changing lives around the world. |
Often operating in difficult social and economic conditions, Ys worldwide have the understanding, expertise and local connections to develop the innovative, impactful programs and services, which move people and communities forward. World Service, operated by YMCA of the USA, partners with Ys globally to make sure that they have the support and resources to deliver these life-changing programs to the people who need them the most. When you give to the World Service Campaign, you help to ensure more people – regardless of background - have access to the tools for a better life.
You can donate to World Service in three easy ways:
A minimum of 85 cents of every dollar you contribute to World Service goes directly to fund vital YMCA programs, with the remainder supporting administration costs. Funded programs are approved by the International Committee of the YMCA of the USA’s Board of Directors.
You may choose to designate your gift to a specific, approved, World Service project; however, undesignated gifts are the most effective way to ensure that resources have the greatest impact.
Grants are managed by members of the YMCA of the USA International Group who have proven success in international development, in-depth knowledge of each region's history, and an understanding of current needs and trusted relationships with local leaders. Over the last 15 years, YMCA of the USA has managed an international grant portfolio in excess of $60 million.
With a proven track record of implementing high-quality programs, the International Group designs, monitors and evaluates private and government-funded World Service projects for Ys around the world.
All World Service and other international contributions are administered by YMCA of the USA, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation chartered in the state of Illinois. All contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law and are acknowledged in writing.
THANK YOU to the thousands of friends and contributors who generously offer their time and resources each year to continue the Y’s charitable legacy.
