Tony Van Dorston

Tony has been a runner for over three decades, competing in cross country and track in high school and college, and road races for various clubs. He's served as team captain for several Corporate Challenge teams at YMCA of the USA, and has informally coached many friends over the years.


Thoughts on NCAA XC Championships

Plant-based are Diets Best for Weight Loss

A study published last month in Nutrition Journal, "Comparative effectiveness of plant-based diets for weight loss: A randomized controlled trial of five different diets" indicated that people who ate vegan or vegetarian diets lost twice the amount of weight as those who followed modified vegetarian or omnivorous diets, despite the lack of calorie restrictions. more

NCAA Cross Country Nationals Preview

The NCAA National Championships are coming on Saturday, November 22. The Division I championship will take place at Wabash Valley Family Sports Center in Terre Haute, Indiana. The women's race begin's at noon. The Division III championship will be held at The Golf Center at Kings Island in Mason, Ohio at 11 a.m. more
