Painting Tabor Children's House Story
“This project was a Y project, and I just believe in the Y and what they do in the community. Also, I know Tabor House for many years has performed valuable services for the children in Bucks County, and Martin Luther King Day is a great day to come out and work.”

A Fresh Coat of Paint
As one of four different Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service projects organized by the Togetherhood Service Committee of the Central Bucks Family YMCA, Y members worked with the Tabor Children's House, a foster care and child and family welfare center in Doylestown, to provide some basic maintenance for their aging building.
Helping Out in Small Ways
A group of 33 teens and adults donated over 60 hours of service to paint two large hallways and a conference room. Groups of friends and family members got acquainted with one another, completed some simple but extremely valued maintenance and were able to better understand the important work being done by the Tabor Children's House.
