Keeping Neighbors Warm

Members of the Carthage and Fairgrounds YMCAs worked together to organize "Mitten Trees" in their Y branches during the holidays. These trees were a great way for Y members to donate hats and mittens to families in need during the cold winter in Watertown. The trees were such a huge success, members will continue to use them as "Giving Trees" throughout the year.

Sharing Her Skills for a Good Cause

Over 250 hats and pairs of mittens were donated and 225 members participated in the drive. One member, Donna Lewis, donated 15 sets of handmade hats and mittens to the project. Our partner, the Urban Mission, provides help for more than 2,500 households and more than 200 homeless neighbors in our community every year. This was another important project for our community.
