Community Programs

The YMCA provides a variety of programs, resources and support that fuel positive change for people of all ages and backgrounds and their communities.

Community Programs

Here for You

At the Y, we take immense pride in our work to strengthen community and help everyone to be their best selves. We offer parents childcare, young adults job training, seniors a way to connect and children a safe place to go. Everything we do is in service of ensuring people and communities thrive.

Education and Employment Training

A significant factor for individual and family stability is earning a steady income. Y programs such as adult literacy, GED preparation and job training are critical to helping people obtain the essential skills that will set them on a path towards employment and self–sufficiency.

Addiction Counseling Services

The Y is committed to providing people–focused solutions when and where they are needed most, such as drug abuse prevention and treatment services and counseling.

Head Start Programs

Head Start is a federal program that promotes school readiness by enhancing social, cognitive and emotional development in children from birth through five years old. This valuable program ensures children in underserved communities receive early learning opportunities and provides families with health and nutrition services.

Programs for People with Disabilities

We believe that inclusivity creates stronger, more connected communities. We welcome people of all abilities to participate in our programs and services. From camping to swimming to educational enrichment, we provide accommodations to make these activities accessible to all.

Water Safety

The Y believes it's important for everyone to be safe and comfortable around water. We offer Safety Around Water programs and swim lessons in all communities — especially those in which kids are at a higher risk of drowning.
