Paul McEntire

A 25-year YMCA professional, Paul oversees Y-USA’s delivery of services and resources to YMCAs and its talent and knowledge management, government relations and information technology departments.

Prior to joining Y-USA in 2018, Paul served as Chief Operating Officer for the YMCA of Greater Houston for three years before becoming President and CEO in 2014. During his tenure, the Houston Y opened a new resident camp and membership facility, significantly expanded the work of the International Services branch and launched the Go for Green program, which provides swim lessons to more than 3,000 day campers each year at no cost to their families. At the national level, he also served as a member of the Y-USA Board of Directors in 2017 and 2018.

Before his time with the Houston YMCA, Paul served in several leadership roles with the YMCA of Florida’s First Coast, including President and CEO from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, he was Executive Director of the Venice YMCA branch in Florida.

Paul holds a Master of Divinity degree from Southern Seminary and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
