Plant-based are Diets Best for Weight Loss

A study published last month in Nutrition Journal, "Comparative effectiveness of plant-based diets for weight loss: A randomized controlled trial of five different diets" indicated that people who ate vegan or vegetarian diets lost twice the amount of weight as those who followed modified vegetarian or omnivorous diets, despite the lack of calorie restrictions.
