Fighting clutter is a never-ending battle in my household. No matter how often I declutter, stuff always finds its way to where it doesn’t need to be. Old mail ends up in piles, that kitchen junk drawer starts overflowing and I can’t find things when I need them.
As much a I don’t want to admit it, I’m a smartphone addict. Like many moms, I have to maximize my free time as much as possible and my phone allows me to do that. Besides making phone calls and sending texts, I write blog posts, respond to emails, pay bills and everything else with my handheld device. It’s so much easier than having to pull out my laptop or sit at my desktop computer.
My daughter turned six months old today and even though we are only halfway to twelve months, I already understand the meaning of the phrase, "the days are long, but the years are short.” I feel fortunate to be a work-at-home mom who is able to spend every day with my child, because even being so new to motherhood, I can confirm that it goes by extremely fast.
