Yoga Can Improve Mental Capacity in Older Adults

A study published this week in The Journals of Gerontology showed that older adults who practiced yoga three times a week for eight weeks improved their performance when tested on their brains' executive function. Generally this isn't surprising, as most exercise is usually shown to be beneficial to mental capacity. more

Inspiring Running Performances of the Week

Jenny Simpson placed second at the Paris Diamond Leage meet on Saturday with a huge PR of 3:57.22, just .10 shy of Mary Slaney's 31 year-old American record of 3:57.12. Simpson has been running consistently great all season and has a great chance at improving her time this summer. Shannon Rowbury also ran a milestone PR, breaking 4:00 for the first time. more
