My second Mother’s Day is in the books—I just barely made the cutoff last year, but I’m claiming it! Before I was a mom, I thought Mother’s Day was no more than an over-commercialized greeting card holiday (more on that later), but I have developed an appreciation. Being a mom is tough, and I welcome any opportunity that allows me to sit back and kick my feet up, if only for a few hours.
