This was my first Christmas as a mother and I must admit, it felt a little weird. I’ve always taken great pride in my gift giving abilities. You know, being able to know exactly what my loved ones want and waiting to see their excited faces as they opened their presents.
While I love my life as a work-at-home mom, it is my civic duty to inform you that it's not a walk in the park. There is a misconception that staying home with the kiddies is easier than working outside of the home.
Yesterday, I was riding the bus, minding my own business. I can’t always say that, but yesterday it was true. Then, this beautiful moment unfolded.
A group of grandmas (pardon my presumption, but I’m painting a picture) were saying goodbye to one of their friends about to get off the bus, everyone wishing everyone else a happy Mother’s Day. As one grandma stepped off the bus and onto the curb, she said to no one and everyone, “happy Mother’s Day to all mothers!”
