One of the most striking differences I noticed in my role as mom is that self care has taken a backseat to everything else. Once a top priority, my skincare routine completely fell apart as I picked up terrible habits like forgetting to moisturize and going to bed with a face full of makeup. I now have plenty of blemishes to show for it.
My daughter Maya will be turning the big o-n-e next month and the pressure is mounting to plan her birthday party. I’m finding myself getting caught up in the details because I want the day to go perfectly. But let's be honest for a second, first birthday parties are really for the adults!
