Many of us have been there. As children, we often want what we want when we want it. I was an unusually considerate child growing up (my mom’s words, not  mine), so I didn’t gripe much about not getting material things. But like most kids and teens past and present, I whined about washing dishes or taking out the trash, I watched way too much TV and generally felt like I should be able to do what I wanted.  more

Noteworthy November

First Foods

To celebrate our daughter's 6 months on this Earth, her father and I decided to give her the gift of solid food. I had been simultaneously nervous and excited about this day. Food is my favorite and while it significantly increases the level of difficulty at mealtime, I’ve been excited to show her what she’s been missing out on. more

While I love my life as a work-at-home mom, it is my civic duty to inform you that it's not a walk in the park. There is a misconception that staying home with the kiddies is easier than working outside of the home.
