A Time to Give Back to the Community

It’s National Volunteer Week (April 12 – 18), and it’s a great time, young leaders, to take action and discover opportunities to give back and make a difference in your community. Up in Tarrytown, New York, Maya’s giving back at her mom’s early education center because “taking isn’t enough.” Mike would tell you it’s not only a great time of the year to get out there and start hiking, but also to “help kids find their own outdoor adventures” by teaching them to appreciate the beauty that surrounds them every day. Get Animated!

Some of our young leaders start off at the Y in afterschool programs, camp, and kicking around a soccer ball or taking a dive in the pool. Fast forward to college, Seth's now making a difference on campus as a freshman... more

Leaders of Tomorrow

Education and leadership are essential to creating a successful path for our future luminaries. Take for instance Sabrina or Seth, both alumni of the Youth and Government™ program, who developed their leadership skills during high school and now taking engagement to the next level in college. Like them, high school freshman, Riley, is well on his way of making his mark in this world too.

But leadership takes all sorts of shapes and forms.  more
