Careers in YMCA Aquatics

Aquatics Clearly known as America's leading swim instructor, YMCAs have been teaching people to swim for more than a century. YMCA Aquatics offer an opportunity to participate in water activities during various phases of a person's life. YMCA Aquatics include parent/toddler introductory programs, youth progressive swim lessons (the YMCA's third most widely offered program nationwide), youth, teen and adult swim teams, adult water exercise classes, synchronized swimming, physical therapy and rehabilitation, SCUBA certification, lap swimming and family-fun. YMCA Aquatics programs take place at YMCA facilities and at park, school, lake and back-yard pool locations throughout a community.

YMCA Aquatics opportunities include swim instructors, lifeguards, water sports and therapy trainers, swim team coaches and positions of overall management of Aquatic programs. The goal is for YMCA Aquatics staff to work hand-in-hand with people to develop lifelong skills that help them stay healthy and safe.
