The Association of YMCA Professionals

AYP The Association of YMCA Professionals (AYP) in the United States is an organization, dedicated exclusively to the well-being and personal development of YMCA staff.

AYP is organized into 36 Chapters, which are grouped into 7 geographic regions (Northeast, Mideast, Southeast, Great Lakes, North Central, South Central and Pacific) to provide a meaningful "grassroots" experience for members. Through a series of planned meetings, special events and projects each year, chapters provide the best opportunity for the individual's ongoing involvement with AYP and fellowship with other colleagues in a non-working setting.

Each has a Region Council of elected officers that coordinated AYP programs, member-services and support to chapters.

AYP is deeply committed to providing its members with a variety of growth opportunities. Chapter workshops, region and national conferences all offer the highest quality programs and resources available to enhance both personal and professional development.

AYP places high value on the recognition of professional excellence, leadership and service. Programs that recognize both individual and group achievement are regularly conducted throughout the organization at the chapter and national levels.
