Job Description:Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Food Service Manager will directly oversee and maintain records of all meals and food service at the Ruth Lilly YMCA Outdoor Center. The Food Service Manager will provide a safe and nurturing environment for campers, community guests and staff, as well as communicate effectively and have a positive attitude about all camp activities. Position will oversee all aspects of food service at the camp - supervise staff, plan menus, order food, and maintain Board of Health standards. Must understand their role in helping build relationships and a small community atmosphere among our Guests. This position requires 2-3 years prior experience in a camp or institutional food service setting and knowledge of Board of Health rules and regulations as they apply to food service. Must be at least 21 years and have the ability to oversee food service staff and all food service operations. Completion of ServSafe training preferred. Must havedesire and ability to work with and relate to children and one's peers and must be a person of high integrity who is capable of adapting to a changing environment. The ability to relate to all age groups is essential and have an understanding of group work and team-building is also important.
Salary: $32,932 - $41,165
