As the Preschool Director, you will have primary responsibility for the overall success of the Preschool Program. Under the supervision of the Director of Child Care Services, you will be responsible for ensuring a high quality program, develop curriculum based on Creative Curriculum guidelines; maintain all EEC files, records and compliance with QRIS standards. Responsible for educator's ongoing observation and assessment of children, using the Teaching Strategies Guide on-line assessment program; supervise preschool teacher(s), including staff development, training, coaching, evaluating, and retention; responsible for Parent Advisory Committee meetings, building strong parent/educator relationships. Must obtain a 7-D license.
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and must demonstrate experience and knowledge in the administration of EEC Programs, curriculum development, EEC standards, supervision of staff, budgeting, fundraising, communication and public relations. The incumbent must be able to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment. Exceptional human relations skills, including theability to establish and maintain a positive, supportive work environment with parents, allstaff, volunteers and the general public.
