The Child Care Director is responsible for the development, promotion, administration, leadership, direction and successful growth of the center. The Edison Branch Child Care Center is a mid-sized NAEYC Accredited Center serving infant to Kindergarten. One of 10 Child Care Centers operated by the YMCA of Metuchen Edison Woodbridge and South Amboy, this center is housed in our Edison Branch that just completed an addition andrenovation.
The position requires a miniimum of a Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development or a related field and teaching and supervisory experience. Must have knowledge of NAEYC Accreditation. Must have working knowledge of child development theory/practies. Must have excellent communication skills, organizational skills, the ability to build and maintain partnerships with community agencies. Must have the ability to plan and implement both large and small projects and the energy, enthusiasm and desire to empower and motivate staff. Must have the ability and desire to be part of a team.
Previous budgeting experience a plus!
Salary: $35,000 - $38,000
