Job Description:

The position leads and executes the development and implementation of talent management/human resources policies; recruitment; legal compliance; employee benefits; compensation and performance management; employee relations; diversity and inclusion; employment practices and procedures; training and development; employee communications and events.

Job Function:

Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Vice-President, Human Resources is responsible for the strategic development of the Human Resources for the Association. This includes, but is not limited to talent management, recruiting, compliance, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration. Supporting the position is the Director, Employee Relations, the Director, Benefits and HR Administration, and six branch Human Resource Coordinators. This position will work with all levels of the Association to ensure that employees are on-boarded, trained and developed to best serve the organization. The VP, Human Resources will develop and maintain a formal succession planning process which will be reviewed periodically. This position will serve as the liaison to the Association's Human Resource and Compensation Committee and will work with the Chair annually to determine the specific chart of work. They, at times, will work closely with YUSA on committees, attend conferences and provide reports. The position is located in Chester County, PA, approximately 30 miles west of Philadelphia.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business, human resources or equivalent; Master's degree preferred. Eight or more years of professional experience in all aspects of human resources management and staff development and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and professional experience in planning and policy, talent management, selection, compensation, benefits, training and staff development, employee relations, and performance management. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community with clear and concise communication processes. Current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, and applicable laws regarding human resources. Proficiency in business and human resources related computer applications, which may include talent management systems, time and attendance systems, etc. Senior human resources certification preferred (SPHR or equivalent); YMCA Organizational Leader certification preferred.

Salary: $100,000 - $118,000

The YMCA of the Brandywine Valley offers a comprehensive benefit package that includes Medical and Dental insurance along with a 12% employer contribution to the retirement savings plan.
