LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and information for association publications. Ability to respond appropriately and professionally to common inquiries or concerns from members, participants, regulatory agencies, and vendors. Have a high degree of human relation skills - ability to effectively communicate and manage information to/from peers, staff and volunteers. MATHMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate and analyze budget figures, program statistics, and variances. A high degree of accuracy and skill with quantitative information. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems, deal with a variety of situations, and make decisions based on logical reasoning. Ability to take initiative, work independently, possess effective time management skills, and respond to a variety of situations and manage several tasks and projects at the same time. Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, wet/humid conditions, heat and cold. The employee is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. EFFECT ON END RESULTS This position directs Health and Wellness services for a multi-branch YMCA with full facilities at maximum efficiency, cost effectiveness, safety and courtesy to support the member service objectives of the YMCA and to ensure its quality, growth, and financial soundness. Salary: $25,000 - $30,000 Additional Compensation Details: Benefits: 8% paid retirement (after meeting the minimum requirements for enrollment); group medical, dental, and life insurance; generous membership and program benefits.
