YMCA: Mill Creek Family YMCA

Location: Everett, WA

Job Description:

Oversee the total operations of the Snohomish School District (SSD) Aquatics Center through YMCA operations including facility scheduling, budget development & management, marketing & promotion, programing, facility maintenance & operations, volunteer & staff management, community relations and collaborations with community partners.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead & manage all functions of the SSD Aquatics Center
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the YMCA and the SSD
  • Represent and promote the Y and the SSD in the local community and develop positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners in the service delivery area
  • Oversee the hiring, training, and supervision of Aquatic Center staff
  • Develop, monitor, and manage the SSD Aquatics Center operating budget and provide regular reports to the SSD
  • Develop and direct high quality engagement strategies and programs which support community needs and facility capabilities
  • Ensure the safety and maintenance of high quality facility, and equipment
  • Direct marketing, public relations and communication efforts
  • Serve as a member of the YMCA management team and support the overall objectives of the Y and the SSD

Job Qualifications:

  • Five or more years of aquatics management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in recreation or related field preferred
  • Current YMCA Lifeguard and YMCA Swim Instructor Trainer(or secure within 90 days of hire)
  • Current First Aid, CPRPro, AED, O2, BBP certifications - Trainer/Instructor preferred
  • Ability to direct total aquatics operations through supervision of staff, budget, marketing, public relations, and program development
  • Ability to exercise sensitivity in dealing with individuals of diverse socio-economic backgrounds, cognitive and physical abilities as well as individuals of diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations
  • Certified Pool Operator certification preferred

Salary: $62,673 - $78,342

12% Y paid retirement, medical, dental, life, LTD, and PTO
