ASSOCIATE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR YMCA: YMCA of Southwest Illinois Location: Belleville, IL Job Description: The YMCA of Southwest Illinois is aggressively seeking a qualified Associate Executive Director to provide cause-driven leadership to a community services operation addressing youth development needs in Cahokia and East St. Louis. This is a wonderful opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated team leader to join a growing, seven branch, $11 million plus association with an exciting mission driven strategic plan in place. General Function: Under the direction of the Associate Vice President of Operations, the selected candidate will oversee several program areas including Early Learning Readiness, SES tutoring, summer enrichment, college readiness, advocacy and our 21st Century program. Candidates must demonstrate successful experience in project management, staff supervision and training, program development, fiscal management, volunteer development and fundraising. A bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of related experience is required. Key result areas include staff development, community collaboration, building relationships, program innovation, board development, annual fundraising and grant writing. The candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills along with a solid track record of staff development, community partnerships, program supervision and fundraising. Success in this position can be a key step towards becoming an Executive Director within our Association. The YMCA of Southwest Illinois is located just 20 minutes from St. Louis and has grown to over 14,000 membership units serving approximately 35,000 individuals.
