BRANCH EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR YMCA: YMCA of West Central Florida Location: Lakeland, FL Job Description: A wonderful opportunity for a dynamic and successful YMCA professional to lead a large, suburban YMCA serving the greater Lakeland area, drawing from a population of over 100,000. The Lakeland Family Y built in 1977, has undergone many renovations and improvements and now totals 60,000 square feet, including two indoor pools (six lane and warm water pool), wellness center, gymnasium, gymnastics center, family and child watch center, teen and senior center, and new 20,000 sq. ft. school age child care addition in 2002. The branch serves a diverse population of age groups, youth, teens, adults, seniors and families. Branch provides a full-range of membership and programmatic offerings, including wellness, senior programming, youth sports, teen programming, preschool and nursery school, school age child care and extensive summer day camp and member activities, with a budget size of $2.1 million, membership base of 2,500, and total facility size of 80,000 square feet located on 17 acres. The Executive Director oversees the management of programs, facilities, volunteer and staff development, financial development, and collaborations with community agencies. Responsibilities include: membership retention and overall member satisfaction; facility cleanliness and preventative maintenance, manage operating performance; effective budget development and management, develop highly motivated staff team; engage and partner with key collaborators, lead health and wellness innovation; strengthen community relations; and increase philanthropic support and participation amongst the business community and membership. The Branch Executive Director operates the branch in accordance with the policies, procedures, and standards established by the YMCA of West Central Florida Board of Directors and the Lakeland Family YMCA Branch Advisory Council.
