Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

Working with Executive Director and Center staff, this person will develop and implement a member retention strategy to increase member satisfaction and retention statistics at assigned Center.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Front Desk oversight

  • Staff training
  • Membership standards
  • Uniform standards

Tour Experience

  • Staff training
  • Interview technique/closing the sale
  • Follow-up

Analysis/Understanding of

  • Current member profile
  • Member satisfaction survey results
  • Focus groups
  • Secret shops

Development/Implementation of Member Retention Strategy

  • Goals
  • Member segmentation
  • Incentives
  • Key messages
  • Tactics
  • Vehicles (utilizing Association retention tools)
  • Special events
  • Measurements of success

In-house Execution of Regional Director Marketing Strategy

  • Membership recruitment campaigns
  • Member-get-a-member promotions

Lapsed Member Relations

  • Exit interview/consultation
  • Follow-up

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing or related field with 3 to 5 years of customer service and 3 to 4 years supervision experience.
  • Ideal candidate must have a strong marketing background.
  • Candidate will be required to broaden the Lake View YMCA brand and image throughout the community.
  • Candidate must possess a strong focus on member retention, member relations/customer service, problem solver/complaint resolution, outstanding written/verbal communications and budget experience.

Salary: $35,000 - $40,000
