Branch Executive Director Opening: Charles River Branch Needham, MA

The YMCA of Greater Boston has a phenomenal career opportunity for a Branch Executive Director in our largest branch location in Needham, Massachusetts, the Charles River YMCA.

We are seeking a mature, innovative, change oriented leader with experience running multi-million dollar facilities. Strong emphasis on financial, community and board development! This facility has aggressive goals for 2013 and only the strongest, most experienced will be considered. The Branch Executive is responsible for all branch decision making and operations including driving the financial development strategy, community engagement, business operations, facility management, human resources, membership, and program/membership services of the Branch in accordance with the policies, by-laws and constitution of the YMCA of Greater Boston. This branch has a large and well established aquatics program, mature health & wellness offerings, multiple Out-of School time programs and a full-functioning board. This position reports to and is accountable to the Senior Vice President of Operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Board & Financial Development- Drive all fund raising and financial development initiatives in the community.
  • Directs the Annual Campaign to fund the mission related work of the branch.
  • Community engagement- Enhance the Y's participation in the community and recruit committed volunteers. Recruits, maintains and engages a productive Board of Advisors.
  • Staff Development- Direct responsibility and supervision for a branch staff and their performance and training of new Program Directors.
  • Operational Excellence- Drive all membership and program initiatives in operation.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS/BA four-year college degree.
  • Certified Organizational Leader with a minimum of eight years professional YMCA experience.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES/KNOW HOW:

  • Superior Communication skills- both written and verbal.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of the nature of the YMCA movement, function of the Board of Directors, volunteers and staff in the accomplishments of the YMCA goals, objectives and mission in the community.
  • Must be highly motivated and possess a positive attitude towards the YMCA, character development and our mission.

Salary range: $75,000 - $95,000
