The YMCA of Florida's First Coast is nationally recognized for its leadership in youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. We are launching cutting-edge programing, including our new healthy living centers, to help us better serve children, adults and families right here in our neighborhood. Job Title: Healthy Living Community Outreach Director FLSA Status: Exempt Reports to: Vice President of Healthy Living The Healthy Living Community Outreach Director develops, organizes and implements high quality community health programs including the CDCs REACH program. Also, creates partnerships and educates the community to improve health and eliminate disparities related to chronic diseases. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Develops and maintains relationships with funding partners, community organizations, school administration, parent groups and other organizations and agencies. 2. Develops, tracks and manages departmental, government contract and/or grant budgets in accordance with branch, association and regulatory compliance. 3. Assures compliance with state and local regulations as they relate to program areas. Ensures that YMCA program standards are met and safety procedures followed. 4. Provides for upkeep of assigned program facilities and equipment and ensures the physical environment supports healthy living. 5. Maintains proper records/department files. 6. Organizes special events for parents. Assists in YMCA fund raising activities. 7. Assists with Program Committee meetings. 8. Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information. 9. Compiles program statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in program. 10. Relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community and facilitate meaningful conversations. NOTE: This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions. It does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Bachelor's degree in related field required. Master's preferred. 2. At least 3 years related experience working in the fields of chronic disease prevention and intervention, nutrition, exercise, creating food access, older adults and health education. 3. At least 4 years related experience at a coordinator or director level. 4. Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include completion of: CPR; First Aid; AED. 5. Fulfillment of state-specific hiring standards and completion of YMCA program specific certifications. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires the following: Seeing, hearing, writing, standing, walking, sitting. Salary: $33,000 - $40,000 Additional Compensation Details: Full Benefits package including Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance.
