BUILDING AND MAINTENANCE MANAGER YMCA: YMCA of Arlington Location: Arlington, TX Job Description: The YMCA of Arlington is looking for an experienced professional Building and Maintenance Manager to perform facility and maintenance repairs; various routine and repetitive tasks, replacing lights, maintain repairing restrooms (commodes, showers), painting, day to day repairs of building, use of various hand power tools, support the YMCA Cooper Branch and assist in Association assignments as needed. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The Building and Maintenance Manager Responsibilities consist of performing overall facility/maintenance repairs, carry out maintenance tasks, cleaning, make certain proper operation of all mechanical systems. Flexible schedule, late evenings or weekends as needed. Responsibilities also include: supervise custodian staff; initiate planned maintenance programs, cost estimates, schedule and assist with facility modifications, develop and administer annual budget. Manage the receiving function, inspect construction and installation progress. Must have the willingness to project the YMCA representation by personal adherence to all policies and must exemplify the YMCA of Arlington Core Values of Faith, Caring, Honesty, Respect. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Required experience in performing building & equipment repairs, maintenance systems (Heat, Air, Ventilation, etc.); ensure all facilities functions are adhered to the highest expectations of quality and safety standards. Perform maintenance throughout the branch, repairs on machines, hand-power tools, lights, pipes, switches, circuit breakers, sinks, various control devices and equipments. Conduct daily walk-through to determine issues related to building and grounds cleanliness; manage custodian staff, payroll duties, other duties assigned Comply with safety regulations; maintain clean and orderly work areas; detect faulty operations and report those and any unusual situations to proper management.Pool Care and Outdoor Trail upkeep. Order, store (inventory) and distribute building maintenance supplies and other duties assigned JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in facility management or a related field or equivalent experience with proven knowledge of profession. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. Must be 21 years of age; must have a valid Driver LicenseMust pass Criminal Background Check and MVR- Motor Vehicle. Exceptional organization, managerial and leadership skills. Manage association custodian staff. Familiarity with personal computers. Must have the ability to manage multiple projects for the Association, demonstrate success with the capability to perform preventative/ routine maintenance of heating, ventilating, doors, floors, air condition systems, plumbing, and alertness to safety hazards. Must attend staff meetings and all required training: CPR/AED, First Aid, Oxygen Administration, Bloodborne Pathogens, New Employee Orientation and Child Abuse Prevention Training. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, heavy lifting (50-70 pounds or more) walk, and use hands to assist with YMCA of Arlington facilities and maintenance, events, etc. The work performed is both indoors and out. May require travel to other locations (branches).
