SENIOR DIRECTOR OF YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

Job Description:

Exciting career opportunity! Newly created position for a highly motivated, creative,dynamic, passionate individual with the drive and ability to develop and implement new and innovative ideas for youth programming at a busy YMCA with a diverse, cultural membership.

The Senior Director of Youth Development oversees the development and operations of various programs, such as; aquatics, teens, youth and adult sports, gymnastics, dance and enrichment programs in accordance with the policies established by the Board of Directors, along with the mission and goals of the YMCA. The Director is also responsible for coordinating family and special member events in conjunction with the program departments. The Director of Youth Development recruits, trains and supports assigned staff and provides liaison support to committee(s) and advisory board(s). This position will play a key role in community and member relationships.

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, recreation, business or equivalent with four or more years of program management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency.

Salary: $43,000 - $48,000
