AQUATICS CENTER DIRECTOR
YMCA: Mill Creek Family YMCA
Location: Everett, WA
Job Description:
Oversee the total operations of the Snohomish School District (SSD) Aquatics Center through YMCA operations including facility scheduling, budget development & management, marketing & promotion, programing, facility maintenance & operations, volunteer & staff management, community relations and collaborations with community partners.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead & manage all functions of the SSD Aquatics Center
- Serve as the primary liaison between the YMCA and the SSD
- Represent and promote the Y and the SSD in the local community and develop positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners in the service delivery area
- Oversee the hiring, training, and supervision of Aquatic Center staff
- Develop, monitor, and manage the SSD Aquatics Center operating budget and provide regular reports to the SSD
- Develop and direct high quality engagement strategies and programs which support community needs and facility capabilities
- Ensure the safety and maintenance of high quality facility, and equipment
- Direct marketing, public relations and communication efforts
- Serve as a member of the YMCA management team and support the overall objectives of the Y and the SSD
Job Qualifications:
- Five or more years of aquatics management experience
- Bachelor's degree in recreation or related field preferred
- Current YMCA Lifeguard and YMCA Swim Instructor Trainer(or secure within 90 days of hire)
- Current First Aid, CPRPro, AED, O2, BBP certifications - Trainer/Instructor preferred
- Ability to direct total aquatics operations through supervision of staff, budget, marketing, public relations, and program development
- Ability to exercise sensitivity in dealing with individuals of diverse socio-economic backgrounds, cognitive and physical abilities as well as individuals of diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations
- Certified Pool Operator certification preferred
Salary: $62,673 - $78,342
