Job Description:

The YMCA of Frederick County is seeking a motivated, team-oriented professional to provide leadership and direct supervision to our preschool child development programs. This individual is responsible for the development, administration and success of all preschool programs; including promotion, implementation and evaluation; administration of staff hiring, training, supervision and performance evaluation; overseeing implementation and quality control of curriculum and activities as they relate to the philosophy of the YMCA; and management of the budget in adherence with the Association goals.

• Manage and direct day-to-day operations.
• Recruit, hire, train, motivate, supervise and evaluate staff to assure effective performance. Promote and enhance professional growth.
• Administer and evaluate Child Care Curriculum working to improve quality and consistency of care.
• Develops and maintains cooperative and supportive relationships with parents, staff, volunteers and other agencies through written and oral communication.
• Maintain licensing and accreditation standards as they pertain to the State of Maryland Standards.
• Develop and oversee operation budget according to association guidelines.

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with a minimum of five years working experience with preschool age children.
• As this is a licensed childcare center the incumbent must have knowledge of Maryland licensing standards for preschool programs.
• The preferred candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and involve staff, parents, and volunteers.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Office.

Salary: $35,000 - $45,000
