AQUATICS DIRECTOR
YMCA: YMCA of Snohomish County
Location: Everett, WA
Job Description:
Develop, organize and implement high quality YMCA aquatic programs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct and supervise program activities to meet YMCA objectives
- Establish new program activities and expands program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans, develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations.
- Recruit, hire, train, develop, schedule and direct personnel and volunteers as needed
- Review and evaluate staff performance, develop strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals
- Ensure records of staff certifications are current and complete
- Monitor daily pool operations to adhere to all state, local and YMCA health and safety regulations
- Conduct and ensure proper maintenance of pools
- Secure and schedule pool facilities
- Maintain accurate records of pool chemical levels and facility maintenance
- Conduct lifeguarding, swim instruction, First Aid, CPRPRO, AED and O2 trainings
- Create and schedule swim and water fitness classes
- Assist in the marketing and distribution of program information
- Develop and monitor program budget to meet fiscal objectives
- Assist in YMCA fund raising activities and special events
- Respond to all member and community inquiries and complaints in timely manner
- Assist with Program Committee meetings Compile program statistics
- Monitor and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in program
- Completion of YMCA specific training/certification as directed
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum age 21
- One or more years' experience as a coordinator or supervisor
- Current First Aid, CPRPRO, AED and O2 certifications, trainer instructor preferred
- Current YMCA Lifeguard or RLSS, CRC, ARC Lifeguard, trainer instructor preferred
- Work and relate effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions of position and to supervise program activities.

Salary: $32,160 - $34,992
Additional Compensation Details:
- Full-Time, Exempt Management Position
- Plus benefits: Medical/Dental/Life/LTD, Paid Time Off, and 12% Y paid retirement when eligible.
