Job Description:
The YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities has a very exciting opportunity for an innovative results-driven Senior Membership Sales Advisor to join our Saint Paul Downtown YMCA team!
The Senior Membership Sales Advisor provides assistance to the District Membership Sales Director at their home branch through supervision and guidance of membership sales staff. This position supervises and coaches the branch's membership sales staff to achieve or exceed monthly personal and team goals. The Senior Membership Sales Advisor implements sales initiatives and marketing strategies to increase branch membership sales.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist the District Membership Sales Director in the management of home branch sales team.
- Supervises, hires, trains and develops the membership sales staff.
- Implements marketing strategies and sales initiatives to obtain established branch and association personal and team monthly goals.
- Conducts tours for potential new members using a consultative sales approach, determining needs and offering solutions.
- Assist the District Membership Sales Director with prospecting and lead generation for new members, including outbound calling and following up on referrals.
- Provide quality customer service and Y relationship with current and potential members and volunteers.
- Assists the District Membership Sales Director with the budgeting process.
REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration, marketing or a related field; or equivalent experience
- Minimum one year sales experience and a proven track record of initiative, creativity, and motivation to surpass challenging performance goals
- Ability to deal with pressure in meeting sales goal
- Experience providing work direction or guidance to others to achieve desired outcomes
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and credibility quickly
- Ability to work in a highly flexible, rapidly changing work environment
- Ability to work a variety of hours, including evenings and weekends
- CPR/PR, First Aid, AED, and Oxygen certifications (within 30 days of hire)
PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Supervisory experience to include hiring, training and performance management
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to travel locally
