AQUATICS DIRECTOR

YMCA: Georgia Mountains YMCA

Location: Gainesville, GA

Job Description:

The Georgia Mountains YMCA is seeking an experienced Aquatics Director for its J.A. Walters Family YMCAfacility and related branches.

This position will have the full scope of Aquatics responsibilities including but not limited to:

Pool Management Aquatics Program Management Safety and Risk Management for J.A.W. Aquatics Program Development, Marketing, and Scheduling of all Aquatics training programs to Staff; to Members; and Public alike.
Supervising all Aquatics staff; reviewing and appraising performance of same.
Personal Supervision of all Special Aquatics Events In-Service trainings for staff on a monthly bases.
Ability to perform in a "Mission Driven" manner at all times.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

1. AA degree in Sports Management or related Field

2. A minimum of 2 years experience as an Aquatics Director

3. Outstanding Communication Skill Sets

4. Current Certifications as WSI and general Lifeguard Training Instructor

5. Certified Pool Manager

6. Program Development Experience with proven ability to Develop, Market, and Supervise Aquatics training programs and special events.

7. Experience in providing specialized trainings such as: "Mommy & Me" lessons TOW programs Youth Swim lessons Adult swim lessons. This is an Exempt Full-Time position and offers Medical Benefits, PTO accrued hours, paid holidays in accordance with our policies, and retirement plan participation after two years of service.

Salary: $26,500 - $28,000
